Q: What do you like to do in your spare time?
A: I really love to read, but I also like to spend time with my family, especially at the lake!
Q: Did you plan on being a teacher when you were in high school? If not, what career did you have in mind?
A: I did not plan on being a teacher. As a matter of fact, I would have said that teaching was the one job I definitely would not do. I planned on being an engineer, but after co-oping (alternating working at a company and going to school); I decided I didn’t like it that much. When I took some interest surveys, teaching kept coming up!
Q: Tell us something interesting about yourself that your students might not know about you.
A: I used to breed dogs – shih-tzus. One time, we had 3 litters in our house, with about 20 dogs altogether!
Q: Finish this statement: When I was 17 I…
A: I played a lot of tennis, swam, and was in pretty good shape – life was good and easy!
Q: What was your most memorable moment from college?
A: Graduating! It is the most awesome feeling to work that hard for so many years, and walk up and get your diploma and start “real life”!
